DJ’s 4 A Cure – 10-06-12 @ Soul Gastrolounge

I’m so proud to have been part of the limited-edition “Queen City Marauders” poster that will available this Saturday evening. Ray Anderson (DJ Rsenal) came up with the idea to re-create the Tribe Called Quest “Midnight Marauders”, except this time, faces from the Charlotte scene. Jamie Fedele handled the photo shoots & John Hairston Jr. helped put the poster together. It’s going to be dope!

So, here we are….Dj’s 4 A Cure night at Soul Gastro. This is a fundraiser, and all money collected will go towards the fight against cancer. Donations of $10 or more entitle you to the limited “Queen City Marauders” poster, featuring some of your local music heroes (and villians).

Providing music on this night will be two very special groups of people. Yes, the rumours are true….sharing the decks for the first time in years will be yours truly DJ Rsenal, and “The Music Programmer” Dj Johnnie Davis! Opening act…both maing their dj debut…your favorite photographer Jasiatic, and Brian “The Groove Merchant” Springs. All donations will go to www.amped4acure.org using the universal language of music to raise funds and spread the word of awareness for cancer research, early detection and prevention.
